The tenor Simone Mugnaini was born in Viareggio (Lucca).
In 1997 he sang with the tenor Andrea Bocelli in the closing concert of the opera season of the Puccini festival, in the opera “La Rondine”.
In 1999 he joined the lyric academy of Katia Ricciarelli, singing at the Parma Theatre as well as in the traditional Lombard theatres.
In 2000 he debuted at the “Teatro Verdi” in Salerno in “Tosca” of Puccini. At the Puccini summer festival, followed debuts in churches and theatres of various cities, from “Tosca”, “Barbiere di Siviglia, “Madama Butterfly “, etc.
In 2005 he sang at the Suntory Hall in Tokyo in the opera “La Bohème” of Puccini, and returning to Italy, he made stops in theatres of many cities; “Aida” of Giuseppe Verdi in Florence, at the Giglio Theatre in Lucca, in the “Norma” of Vincenzo Bellini at the Genoa Theatre, in Livorno at Verdi’s Requiem Mass
